Azim Premji University Short Story Contest for Young Writers in Kannada and English

Azim Premji University Short Story Contest: The English faculty at Azim Premji University is excited to announce the launch of their very first short story contest for young writers in Kannada and English. This annual contest will revolve around a broad theme, inviting writers to unleash their imagination and create captivating stories. Whether it’s a realistic tale or a fantastical adventure, the possibilities are endless. In its inaugural year, the writing contest will feature two prizes, one for short fiction in English and the other for Kannada. The aim is to encourage young, unpublished writers from all corners of Karnataka to take their first steps into the world of writing. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and this contest provides a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their talent. The theme for this year’s contest is “Model Homes Layout | ಮಾದರಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ.” Participants are encouraged to interpret this theme in their own unique way. Whether it’s a reflection on the concept of home or an exploration of the intricacies of a model community, writers are free to let their creativity flow. Entries can be submitted in either Kannada or English, and we welcome all dialects and forms of the Kannada language. The contest is open to any resident of Karnataka, both current and past, between the ages of 16 and above. This inclusivity ensures that writers from diverse backgrounds and experiences have the opportunity to participate. If you have a story to share, don’t miss this chance to make your mark in the literary world. Submit your entries and let your creativity shine. Good luck to all the aspiring young writers of Karnataka! For more information and submission guidelines, please visit our website.
