Become a GCERF Grant Recipient in Kyrgyzstan
Applications close: 11:59PM (CET) Monday, 15 January 2024
In November 2023, GCERF’s Investment Strategy for Kyrgyzstan was approved by GCERF’s Governing Board. As part of this strategy (2024-2027), GCERF is now accepting expressions of interest for funding in Kyrgyzstan for up to 36 months. The aim is to collaborate with various stakeholders, including international organizations, civil society organizations (CSOs), and businesses in Kyrgyzstan. Key partners in this initiative include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Committee for National Security.
In 2023, GCERF established a multi-stakeholder Country Support Mechanism (CSM) in Kyrgyzstan. Chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the CSM comprises members from government institutions, UN agencies, OSCE, ICRC, and donors. The CSM’s main function is to ensure ownership and strategic oversight of GCERF’s work in Kyrgyzstan, from needs assessment to investment strategy development, expressions of interest review, proposal application review, and funding recommendations.
GCERF, in collaboration with the CSM of Kyrgyzstan, is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest for CSOs in Kyrgyzstan to form a consortium and become a Principal Recipient (PR) of GCERF funding. The funding will be provided to consortia of CSOs to build capacity in preventing violent extremism (PVE) and radicalization (R).
If your CSO is interested in becoming a GCERF grant recipient and contributing to the efforts in preventing violent extremism and radicalization in Kyrgyzstan, please submit your expression of interest by the deadline mentioned above.
