Ready Steady Go Learning Expedition for Artists and Cultural Professionals in the Mediterranean

Ready Steady Go Learning Expedition for Artists and Cultural Professionals in the Mediterranean
Ready Steady Go! is an exciting 10-month learning expedition designed for 14 artists and cultural professionals from the Mediterranean region. Developed by the Roberto Cimetta Fund in collaboration with Liv.in.g (Italy), Busart (Greece), Al Badil (Turkey), and Amuni (France), this program aims to support participants in identifying and applying for mobility funding and support schemes, as well as increasing their access to the international arts scene. The program offers a range of activities to enhance participants’ international exposure and career development. This includes three online capacity development sessions, a four-day workshop in Italy, and a four-day final meeting in Greece. By promoting inclusive mobility, Ready Steady Go! provides a platform for artists and cultural professionals to develop projects that involve international mobility within and outside their region. It also offers a space for debate and practical tools to support their endeavors. To be eligible for the program, applicants must be individuals under 30 years old with a good command of English. The call is open to artists (performers, creators, trainers) and professionals in the cultural sector (organizers, administrators, project managers). It welcomes applications from independent organizations, freelancers, and those in the public sector. Participants must be based in Mediterranean countries, including European countries and North Africa and the Middle East countries. The program particularly encourages applicants from “remote areas,” such as islands, rural areas, and cities with less than 80,000 inhabitants in European countries. For other countries in the Balkans, North Africa, and the Middle East, the entire country is considered a “remote area.” Applicants must present an artistic or cultural project taking place in their territory, which involves international mobility. This could include the preparation of a project, participation in research or a residency, networking with cultural and artistic professionals, or an artistic and professional training/education project. The application must focus on an artistic discipline or cultural action, such as management, mediation, contemporary performing arts, visual arts, writing, or transdisciplinary projects. Selection criteria prioritize independent artists and cultural professionals, those working in independent organizations or as freelancers. The project’s contribution to local and Mediterranean cultural development from a sustainable perspective is also considered. Candidates are expected to actively participate in the capacity development program and engage in peer-to-peer learning. Selected candidates will have all expenses related to the program covered, including participation in the capacity development program, travel, accommodation, and meals for the onsite workshops and meetings in Italy and Greece. They are also required to commit to participating in all program components and contribute to an in-depth case studies publication on mobility in the Mediterranean. Ready Steady Go! is an incredible opportunity for emerging artists and cultural professionals in the Mediterranean to expand their horizons, gain valuable skills, and contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of the region. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this transformative journey. Apply now and take your career to new heights!
