UDita Grants for Barrier-free Design 2023-24: Promoting Inclusivity through Universal Design: is calling for proposals that actively promote and implement universal design concepts, with the aim of creating a tangible impact on inclusivity. This grant opportunity, brought to you by Mphasis F1 Foundation and Avas with Ethos Foundation as the knowledge partner, seeks to foster a more compassionate and inclusive India.

Open to individuals, Arcause Clubs, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and community groups, the grants program encourages participation either as individuals or in teams of up to three members. The winning team or individual will be awarded a grant of up to Rs 50,000/- to execute their submitted proposal until August 2024.

The goals of the grants program are centered around the concept of crafting inclusive spaces for a barrier-free India. This goes beyond public buildings and extends to residential communities, campuses, offices, NGOs, and more. The UDita Grant empowers participants to address design challenges at a neighborhood level, making a real impact on the lives of numerous users.

With the funding provided, participants can think of innovative solutions such as apps, products, small space renovations, prototypes, and public space inclusions. However, it is important to consider the practicalities of turning vision into reality. Collaboration and permission from relevant authorities are necessary to ensure that the designs materialize as tangible, impactful changes in our communities.
