Invitation for Expressions of Interest: Partnering for HIV Care in India-SAATHII

Understanding SAATHII’s Mission

SAATHII, a national non-governmental organisation, is focused on accelerating India’s response to HIV and AIDS. Since its establishment, SAATHII has been dedicated to strengthening healthcare systems, providing equitable access to treatment, and advocating for the rights of people living with HIV (PLHIV). The organisation collaborates with government bodies and civil society to enhance public health initiatives that promote inclusion and gender equality.

Grant Details and Objectives

With financial support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM), SAATHII is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from eligible organisations to act as sub-recipients (SRs) under its HIV project. This project supports efforts to meet the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets, which focus on diagnosing 95% of PLHIV, treating 95% of those diagnosed, and achieving viral suppression in 95% of those treated. The initiative aims to strengthen the continuum of care and expand Care and Support Centres (CSC 2.0) while integrating HIV with tuberculosis and other communicable diseases.

Eligibility Criteria for Applications

Eligible applicants for this initiative include registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and nonprofit entities based in India, especially those working within Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and the Andaman Islands. Through this collaborative approach, SAATHII seeks to enhance community engagement, reduce stigma, and promote sustainable healthcare solutions for PLHIV.
