YLACES grant application: The Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists (YLACES) grant application is now open! Educators are invited to apply for funding until March 31, 2026. This grant initiative aims to empower youth by equipping them with the scientific tools they need to conduct meaningful environmental research.
Who Can Apply for YLACES grant application?
All educators in the U.S. are eligible to apply for grants of up to $1,500 for equipment and supplies for youth environmental research. The objective is to help students move from making basic environmental observations to engaging in more complex research. Barriers such as lack of equipment, mentorship, or transportation can hinder this progression, and YLACES is here to assist in overcoming those challenges.
International Opportunities
International educators and organizations also have the chance to apply. They can request up to $1,500 for equipment to support youth environmental research, contingent upon endorsement from the GLOBE program in their respective countries. Applications must include a detailed budget.
