Becoming a Partner with Global Fund for Children

At Global Fund for Children (GFC), our model revolves around partnering with courageous and dynamic organizations that are making a positive impact on the lives of children and youth in their own communities. We are constantly on the lookout for new organizations to partner with, based on our regional strategies, especially when launching and expanding thematic and regional initiatives.

To learn more about our regional strategies and initiatives in Africa, the Americas, Europe and Eurasia, and Asia, please visit our website. We are committed to selecting partners who align with our values and mission, and who can derive the maximum benefit from their partnership with GFC. To ensure this commitment, we have established eligibility criteria and selection guidelines.

We seek partners who:
– Have a deep understanding of their community and either live or work in the areas they serve.
– Aim to improve the lives of children and youth.
– Embrace a culture of discovery, learning, and continuous improvement.
– Recognize the importance of collaboration and see themselves as part of a larger system.
– Address any of our thematic focus areas, which include education, freedom from violence and exploitation, gender equity, and youth empowerment.
– Hold local nonprofit or charitable status, and can accept international funds or have a fiscal sponsor that can.
– Protect children and youth with a safeguarding policy or agree to implement one.

As we can only fund a limited number of organizations worldwide, we are particularly interested in partnering with organizations that possess the following characteristics:
– Their vision for change may impact all young people in their area, but they specifically focus on children and youth who are marginalized due to various factors.
– Young people play a significant role in the organization, either as founders, leaders, or in important positions.
– They are committed to measuring the outcomes and impact of their work and are eager to improve.
– They approach old problems with fresh perspectives, take calculated risks, and demonstrate creativity and flexibility.
– They understand the power of building connections with diverse actors to drive change and actively seek to expand their network.
– They believe in empowering young people to influence decisions that affect their lives and advocate for their rights.
– They recognize the potential of advocacy to change mindsets, norms, and policies, and have a clear understanding of its implications for their work.

If your organization meets these criteria and shares our commitment to creating a better future for children and youth, we encourage you to apply to become a partner with Global Fund for Children. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of young people around the world.
