Introduction to Economic Empowerment
SBI Foundation, through its Centre of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities (CoE), is dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods and the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities (PwDs). By inviting requests for proposals (RFP) from NGOs working in this area, SBI Foundation aims to enhance opportunities for PwDs across India.
The Role of SBI Foundation
Established to unify the CSR efforts of the State Bank Group, SBI Foundation focuses on uplifting underprivileged sections of society. The foundation’s strategic initiatives emphasize rural development, healthcare, sports, and disability-related empowerment. Through its CoE, SBI Foundation seeks innovative approaches and practical solutions to ensure that PwDs can achieve economic independence.
Inviting Partnerships for Change
The requests for proposals are an open invitation for NGOs actively engaged in sustainable development to present their project ideas. By collaborating with diverse organizations, SBI Foundation aims to create impactful programs that not only uplift PwDs but also foster inclusive communities. The involvement of NGOs is crucial, as they bring tailored strategies and local insights to address the unique challenges faced by PwDs.
Empowering persons with disabilities through sustainable livelihoods is not just about providing jobs; it’s about creating a supportive ecosystem that nurtures their potential. By prioritizing these initiatives, we can take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
