Deadlines 1 April 2024 – Faculty Research Grants offered by the Al Qasimi Foundation present an exciting opportunity for faculty members from recognized tertiary institutions worldwide. These grants aim to support faculty who wish to conduct field research in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah during the summer or a sabbatical period of up to two months.
With funding of up to 35,000 AED, the Faculty Research Grants cover various project-related expenses. These include travel costs such as airfare, car rental, accommodation, living stipend, and visa fees. Additionally, the grants can be used for research assistant support, equipment purchases, translation services, event hosting, and the production of printed materials.
In addition to financial support, the Al Qasimi Foundation provides recipients with office space, research support, and administrative assistance. The foundation encourages recipients to contribute to the research community in Ras Al Khaimah by producing a policy paper, recording a podcast, or delivering a presentation. They may also be invited to share their research through a blog post or a short video interview as part of the foundation’s broader communication efforts.
The primary objectives of these grants are to foster innovative, applied research that positively impacts the Ras Al Khaimah community. They also aim to promote the development of regional research capacity and facilitate collaboration among highly recognized international universities and national institutions in the United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, the grants seek to encourage cross-cultural exchange, sparking curiosity, generating new ideas, and facilitating understanding.
The Faculty Research Grants offered by the Al Qasimi Foundation provide an exceptional opportunity for faculty members to engage in impactful research while contributing to the growth and development of the Ras Al Khaimah community.
