Fundraising Manager at Cochrane

Purpose of Role
The role and job of Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to implement a strategic fundraising plan and raise vital funds. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, an experienced and energetic fundraiser with a proven track record of successfully securing five and six-figure gifts from a wide range of donors. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for promoting best practice within fundraising and ensuring the highest quality and levels of efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and qualify new donors and funding opportunities from global trusts, foundations, and government donors.
- Develop high-quality funding proposals and build a portfolio of trusts, foundations, and government donors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors using our CRM as a tool for account management.
- Manage existing funding agreements and write donor reports.
- Represent Cochrane at meetings, events, and within the fundraising profession.
- Position Cochrane as a credible and desirable partner among stakeholders.
Profile
The ideal candidate for this role has a thorough understanding of how global trusts, foundations, and government donors operate, as well as experience in raising funds through high-quality proposals and reports. They should have excellent project management and communication skills, as well as sound financial literacy. Knowledge of individuals, donors, and networks in global health is desirable.
