Call for Applications for Future Food Asia Award 2024: The Future Food Asia Award 2024 is now accepting applications from pre-Series A start-ups based in the Asia-Pacific region. This prestigious award aims to recognize and showcase the leading AgriTech and FoodTech start-ups in the region.
The selected finalists will have the opportunity to present their innovations at the FFA2024 in-person conference in Singapore. A panel of experts, known as the FFA jury, will assess the finalists and determine the winner of the US$100,000 grand prize.
In addition to the main award, start-ups can also apply for the Cargill ‘Nutrition For Tomorrow’ Award. This specific award track provides the winner with access to Cargill’s expertise and resources, including a funded pilot trial, to support the realization and scalability of their solution or idea.
To be eligible for the Future Food Asia Award, start-ups must meet certain criteria. These include having their main activities fall within one of the 18 technology sectors identified by Future Food Asia, having achieved proof-of-concept and/or earning initial revenues, and raising a Series A round of funding. Start-ups must also have previously raised a minimum of USD 100,000 and have operations based in the Asia-Pacific region. Proficiency in English among team members is also required.
The award is an equity-linked grant of USD 100,000, which will be converted into equity at the next round of financing for the winner. The terms of the investment are defined in a standard SAFE note.
To apply for the award, start-ups are required to fill in all the necessary details about themselves and their company in the provided form. The deadline for applications is 15th March 2024, and start-ups are encouraged to submit their applications early as they will be assessed on a rolling basis.
