India Open Grants Fund-The Shared Ground Fund, a key initiative in India’s migrant justice sector, is undergoing significant changes to better align with the vision, priorities, and current needs of those working towards migrant justice. Over the past year, the fund’s team has engaged in an extensive consultation process with migrants, sanctuary seekers, and other stakeholders to develop a shared vision for the future and explore how funders can best support the sector’s progress. To implement these changes and prepare for the India Open Grants Fund re-launch in early spring, there will be a temporary pause in accepting new applications and enquiry calls to the Shared Ground Fund. Starting from Friday, February 9th, 2024 (11:59 pm), until early spring, the fund will not be able to accept any new applications or respond to enquiry calls. However, individuals and organizations interested in speaking to one of the Grants Managers once the Fund reopens can register their interest by filling out a form on the fund’s website. The form can be accessed at [link to the registration form]. During this pause, the Shared Ground Fund aims to enhance its support for migrant justice initiatives and ensure that it aligns with the evolving needs of the sector. The upcoming changes reflect a commitment to fostering a more inclusive and effective funding landscape for migrant justice in India. Stay tuned for further updates on the re-launch of the Shared Ground Fund in early spring, and make sure to register your interest if you would like to speak to one of the Grants Managers once the Fund is open for applications again.
