Grants Manager – Job Opportunity at Winrock International
Winrock International is currently seeking a Grants Manager for its Auki project office in the Solomon Islands. This position is part of the five-year, USAID-funded Solomon Islands Strengthening Competitiveness, Agriculture, Livelihoods, and Environment – Natural Resource Management (SCALE-NRM) program. The program aims to promote conservation economies at a community scale, strengthen markets for conservation, and build government capacity in natural resource management.
Responsibilities
The Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the engagement of grantees and grantee applicants throughout the grant cycle. This includes coordinating with technical teams, facilitating grant selection committees, negotiating grant scopes of work and budgets, and monitoring grantees’ implementation progress. The Grants Manager will also be involved in designing grant solicitations, conducting organizational capacity assessments, and providing technical assistance and training to address capacity needs.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, public administration, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of professional experience. Previous experience in grant management is required. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and SharePoint. The ability to organize and handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team is also necessary.
