About the Job

As a Grants Management Substitution Specialist, your role will be crucial in supporting DRC’s country missions worldwide. You will fill gaps in grants-related positions, ensuring smooth operations and impactful assistance. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the writing and/or compiling of proposals
  • Reviewing proposals for consistency, compliance, language, and overall high quality
  • Managing and supervising internal and external reporting
  • Maintaining the grants system for quality information management
  • Providing expert advice on grants management and donor compliance
  • Supporting kick-off, review, and closure meetings for grants
  • Training staff in donor compliance and grants management processes
  • Providing ad-hoc support in report writing, proposal development, and other topics

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in grants management and proposal development within the international humanitarian sector. Additionally, the following qualifications are expected:

  • University degree in international development, social science, or relevant field
  • Minimum three years of technical experience in grants management
  • Demonstrated experience developing and revising donor reports and proposals
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel to DRC country missions and work in unstable security environments
