Presented by Temasek Foundation and organized by Eco-Business, the Liveability Challenge (TLC) was established in 2018, evolving into Asia’s largest sustainability solutions platform. With a global reach and a stellar reputation, TLC aims to help innovative companies create significant positive impacts on society and the planet.
A Track Record of Success
Since its inception, TLC has successfully completed eight editions, attracting thousands of applications worldwide. It has shortlisted and incubated 54 start-ups, providing nearly S$14 million in funding. These start-ups have gone on to raise hundreds of millions more, showcasing the transformative power of this initiative.
Liveability Challenge 2026: Key Details
The Liveability Challenge 2026 runs under two key themes: Decarbonisation and Cool Earth. This year’s challenge marks a historic pledge of S$4 million in catalytic funding, aimed at accelerating sustainability innovations from the lab to the market. Submissions are open until February 9, 2026, with finalists set to be spotlighted at the grand finale during Ecosperity Week in Singapore.
Teams presenting groundbreaking solutions will benefit from a month of coaching by leading experts, nurturing their pitches and proposals. Finalists not only have the chance to win over S$4 million in grants and investment but will also become part of the TLC alumni network, which connects them with investors and innovators worldwide.
