About Together Women Rise’s Featured Grants Program
Through our featured grants program, Together Women Rise provides funding to organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the global south. Each month, we feature a different organization or project, providing extensive learning materials on the project and the issue being addressed. We promote these projects through our nationwide chapters, website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
Application Process for 2025 Featured Grants
Our next featured grant cycle, for grants to be awarded in 2025, will be open for applications from Friday, May 17, 2024, at 9:00am ET through Monday, June 17, at 11:59pm ET. If you are a prospective grantee, we encourage you to carefully review the information provided below and on our website.
We will be hosting two information sessions for prospective grantees. Both sessions will cover the same content, so you only need to attend one:
- Tuesday, May 14, from 1:00 to 2:30pm ET — Register Here

Featured Grant Program Details
Our featured grants program supports capacity building, new programs, or the expansion of existing programs. We award a minimum of 12 featured grants per calendar year, with each grant term lasting 24 months (2 years). The grant size ranges from $35,000 to $50,000, paid over the two-year period.
Organizations with budgets of $100,000 and above are eligible to apply. Additionally, organizations with less than $1 million in operating budget can apply for capacity building grants, which can cover various operational aspects such as technology, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and staff training.
It’s important to note that organizations may receive only one featured grant per four-year period. Together Women Rise does not support debt reduction grants, endowments, lobbying or political activities/parties, election campaigns, government entities, or building funds or campaigns.
We do not fund organizations that engage in exclusionary practices based on religion or political affiliation, or those that attempt to convert the community beneficiaries to a particular religious faith or belief, or a political party or belief.
Timeline for the 2025 Featured Grant Cycle
- May 17, 2024, at 9:00am ET: Grant application portal opens
- June 17, 2024, at 11:59pm ET: Deadline for all grant applications and supporting documentation (no exceptions)
- November 2024: Approved grantees will be notified
- December 2024: Organizations that have not been approved will be notified
