Introduction to the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs
The U.S. Embassy in Namibia is excited to announce the invitation for organizations to apply and run the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program. This initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing the essential tools and resources they need to grow their businesses and succeed in their entrepreneurial journeys.
Program Goals and Structure
The AWE program is designed to foster a supportive network for women-led businesses, encouraging collaboration and growth. Participants will engage in both in-person and online sessions that connect them with fellow entrepreneurs in Namibia and the U.S., as well as industry experts. Central to the program is the DreamBuilder course, an innovative online tool that aids in developing critical business skills.
Eligibility and Application Process
Eligible applicants for the AWE program include a range of organizations, such as public and state institutions of higher education, private educational institutions, and nonprofits. The proposals submitted should outline the program’s structure, the recruitment process of participants, and clearly delineate the embassy’s role in the initiative. Additionally, budgets should encompass expenses related to travel, data for online sessions, and other necessary activities to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
With the closing date of January 4, 2025, organizations are encouraged to take this opportunity to contribute to the advancement of women entrepreneurs in Namibia.
