IBM Education Security Preparedness Grants

Applications are invited for IBM Education Security Preparedness Grants from IBM which announces $5 million in-kind for schools to boost cybersecurity, together with enhanced skilling on AI In response to the growing skills gap and threat of ransomware attacks at schools, IBM is announcing a global RFP to help K-12 public schools and educational institutions combat cyberattacks and grow their faculty and students’ skills in AI and cybersecurity. IBM will provide $5 million in-kind to help address cybersecurity resiliency in schools and institutions across the world while providing schools enhanced training on AI and cyber through IBM SkillsBuild. 350,000 students globally have already benefited from these security grants.

Included in the grant:

IBM Education Security Preparedness Grants will be awarded to schools worldwide and distributed via volunteers through IBM Service Corps to help schools establish programs to address cybersecurity resiliency. Each selected school will receive:

Incident response plans and ransomware playbooks

Programs to address the need for updating operating systems
