ISTAT Foundation 2024 Grants Program: Educational and Humanitarian Grants

What has changed?

ISTAT Foundation Grants Prog: The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation has introduced a consolidated grants program that provides funding to non-profit organizations globally. This program encompasses both Educational Grants and Humanitarian Grants, with the Grants Committee overseeing both types of grants. Previously, organizations had to apply separately for educational and humanitarian grants, but now there is a single application form for both. The deadline for applications has been moved up to 24 April 2024.

Educational Grants

Educational Grants aim to promote and enhance awareness of diverse careers in aviation, inspiring the next generation to consider a future in the aviation industry. Eligible organizations include museums, educational institutions/universities, industry associations/student associations, and youth organizations that offer aviation-focused educational platforms such as summer camps, workshops, or other programs dedicated to enhancing knowledge about the aviation industry.

Humanitarian Grants

Humanitarian Grants support organizations that utilize aviation to save lives, promote human welfare, and alleviate suffering. Eligible organizations must be registered as charitable, non-profit entities focusing on aviation-related humanitarian prevention, relief, and/or recovery efforts for natural disasters, human-generated disasters, or health-related crises.

How to Apply

The application for the 2024 Grants Program is now open. Organizations can submit only one application per year, and past applicants are eligible to apply in subsequent years. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, 24 April 2024. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application no later than 12 June 2024.

Other Applicant Considerations

Programs or projects with an international focus and themes related to aviation and sustainability will be prioritized by the committee. Funding restrictions include no support for capital infrastructure, for-profit projects, or religious or political activities. Umbrella organizations may apply for a grant only if they implement the proposed program or project directly. All application materials must be submitted in English.
