Supporting Europe’s Industry: Financial Support and Requirements for Internationalization Grants

Introduction

The Eurocluster Ingenious is dedicated to supporting Europe’s industry in achieving sovereignty, driving competitive sustainability, becoming the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050, and shaping Europe’s digital future. With a special focus on SME support, Ingenious aims to assist the backbone of the economy by promoting resilience and facilitating the green and digital transition. Under the Ingenious project, SMEs can access three financial instruments: innovation grants, training grants, and internationalization grants. The total amount of direct financial support available for SMEs through the Ingenious program is 1.05 million euros, with a budget of €25,000 reserved specifically for internationalization missions.

Financial Support for Missions

Eurocluster Ingenious  – Applicants can apply for a single internationalization grant worth €2,500, bearing in mind that the total maximum funding per SME, including all financial support from the Ingenious project, cannot exceed €60,000. To ensure eligibility, applicants must choose a target country from the main target countries specified by Ingenious. These countries include Cape Verde, Mozambique, South Africa, Senegal, Guinea, Morocco, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia.

Requirements for Applicants

To be eligible for internationalization grants, applicants must be small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and select a target country from the list provided. To determine if a company qualifies as an SME, applicants can refer to the SME definition on the Single Market Economy website or complete the SME self-assessment questionnaire. Applications must be submitted through the Ingenious website using the provided application form for internationalization grants. Additionally, a motivation letter, not exceeding two DIN A4 pages, must be completed using the template provided by Ingenious.
