Job Overview of Country Program Coordinator II
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Country Program Coordinator II based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Key Responsibilities
The role encompasses a variety of essential duties, predominantly focused on office management and administration, which accounts for 70% of the position’s responsibilities. The Country Program Coordinator will assist the Country Program Leader in managing local research staff and will be actively involved in administration tasks such as recruitment, work plan development, and performance reviews.
Effective communication and logistics organization will also be crucial, particularly in coordinating seminars and workshops that promote research discussions within the agricultural sector. Furthermore, the coordinator will liaise between different stakeholders and ensure smooth fiscal management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Interested applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as economics or public policy, preferably with at least two years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree is also acceptable. Strong communication skills are essential, especially the ability to convey agriculture and food policy research outcomes to diverse audiences.
