Empowering Family Caregivers: The Role of Clinical Field Officers – Sehore – Nayi Disha

Who We Are

In 2015, Nayi Disha embarked on a journey fueled by the belief that family caregivers are pivotal in changing the lives of their children. Over the past decade, we have devoted our efforts to creating a robust ecosystem where parents and caregivers receive the guidance and support they need to thrive.

Job Purpose and Objectives

As we aim to establish early support systems for family caregivers of children aged 0 to 6 with developmental delays or at risk, our project focuses on four key objectives:

  • Building capacity among frontline workers for effective home-based development support.
  • Delivering targeted developmental support to caregivers through these workers.
  • Enhancing child development supervision using a screening tool.
  • Strengthening government referral channels for clinical interventions.

The Role of Clinical Field Officers

The clinical field officer occupies a critical role in facilitating home-based development support for caregivers of children identified with developmental challenges. This position is designed for those who are experienced and proactive. Responsibilities include community engagement, mentoring, training, and providing clinical expertise that supports frontline workers and enhances team operations.

By integrating their clinical knowledge with grassroots outreach, clinical field officers ensure effective implementation of support systems that resonate with low-resource settings. Their work not only supports individual families but also strengthens the bonds within our broader community.
