Introduction to the CFLI Albania
The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives CFLI Albania provides support for small-scale, high-impact projects in developing countries, including Albania. This program, managed by Global Affairs Canada, aims to engage local partners in innovative projects that significantly impact their communities.
Eligibility and Funding
Eligible applicants for CFLI Albania funding include local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community groups, and academic institutions engaged in local projects. Additionally, international NGOs can qualify if they collaborate with local partners. The funding ranges from CAD $30,000 to CAD $60,000, with a maximum project contribution of CAD $100,000, reinforcing the commitment to empower local civil society.
Application Process and Requirements
All project proposals must align with one of the CFLI’s thematic priorities: inclusive governance or equitable growth. Applications must be completed in English and submitted by May 21, 2026. The selection committee evaluates each application based on its merits, and only successful proposals will receive feedback. It’s crucial to ensure that all elements of the application are correctly filled out, as incomplete submissions will not be considered.
