The U.S. Mission to India has launched an open competition seeking qualified organizations to implement the U.S.-India Sports Technology Partnership Program. The initiative supports “Mission 500,” a strategic effort to double bilateral trade between the United States and India to $500 billion by 2030.

The program is designed to establish a structured commercial pipeline for American innovation in the sports sector by fostering engagement between Indian sports stakeholders and U.S. experts, companies, and research institutions.

Through a series of national dialogues, applied demonstrations, and targeted engagement activities across multiple Indian cities, the project will promote collaboration in sports performance technology, sports medicine, data analytics, and innovation.

The initiative aligns with U.S. foreign policy priorities by promoting American technological innovation, expanding commercial opportunities for U.S. firms, and reinforcing U.S. leadership in emerging technology sectors.

The selected organization will be responsible for implementing activities that:

  • Facilitate collaboration between Indian and U.S. sports technology stakeholders.
  • Promote American innovation in sports performance technology and sports medicine.
  • Support commercial partnerships and market opportunities for U.S. companies.
  • Organize national dialogues and demonstration events across India.
  • Highlight innovation opportunities around major global sporting events such as:
    • FIFA World Cup 2026
    • Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games 2028
  • Strengthen bilateral cooperation in sports technology and innovation ecosystems.
