Intern Defense Budget Analysis -The CSIS Defense Budget Analysis Program is offering an exciting internship opportunity for the spring and summer of 2026. This role is designed for candidates interested in researching and analyzing trends within the defense budget, military readiness, and related fields. As an intern, you will engage deeply in literature reviews, data analysis, and contributing to various reports that assess both U.S. and international defense spending.
Essential Responsibilities and Requirements
Interns at CSIS will be responsible for a balance of research (70%) and administrative duties (30%). This includes supporting staff members on key research projects, copy-editing reports, as well as assisting in meeting and event preparations. Applicants should be pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. degree, or be recent graduates with a strong academic record. Proficiency in statistical analysis and strong communication skills are highly valued.
