Supporting Women Organizations in Ethiopia and South Sudan
Women’s Peace is issuing a call for proposals to support local, grassroots, women and young women’s civil society organizations in Ethiopia and South Sudan. The aim of Supporting Women Organizations in Ethiopia and South Sudan is to empower these organizations to actively participate and lead in the planning and response to food insecurity in their communities.
Food insecurity is a pressing issue in many regions, particularly in Ethiopia and South Sudan. Women and young women are disproportionately affected by this crisis, as they often bear the responsibility of providing food for their families. By supporting local organizations, we can ensure that their voices are heard and their expertise is utilized in addressing this critical issue.
We are seeking proposals from organizations that have a deep understanding of the local context and have demonstrated commitment to women’s rights and community development. The proposals should outline innovative approaches to tackling food insecurity, with a focus on empowering women and young women.
The selected organizations will receive financial support, capacity-building opportunities, and technical assistance to implement their projects. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded organizations and share best practices.
This call for proposals is part of Women’s Peace’s commitment to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. We believe that by investing in local organizations, we can create sustainable solutions to food insecurity and uplift communities as a whole.
