Calls for Proposals: The LIFE Programme 2026

technical Assistance preparation of CLIMA SIPs: LIFE-2026-TA-PP-CLIMA-SIP

Understanding the LIFE Programme

LIFE Programme , an EU initiative, supports environmental and climate action through various project grants. In 2026, it continues to focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation. The programme invites proposals for Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs) which aim to implement crucial strategies such as National Energy and Climate Plans (NECP) and long-term strategies.

Scope of Proposals

Proposals should target large territorial scales, involving a range of stakeholders to ensure broad engagement. Successful projects will pioneer transitions to climate-neutral societies, addressing urban or community-based plans, and developing greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. Collaborative efforts aimed at substantial impacts are key to gaining approval for funding.

Eligibility and Participation

Life Programme – Eligible applicants include public or private legal entities registered within EU member states or territories linked to the EU. Notably, participants from third countries are also welcomed if their involvement aligns with the project’s objectives.
