Applications are invited for Azim Premji Foundation Grant from early-stage, not-for-profit organizations operating in Madhya Pradesh. The foundation’s mission is to contribute to a more just, equitable, humane, and sustainable society. Our grants are designed to align with this vision and are deeply rooted in our core values.
One of our objectives is to promote vibrancy in the Civil Society ecosystem by supporting individuals with fresh ideas who are eager to address the socio-economic development challenges faced by the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. We aim to assist recently established organizations that work directly with these communities in Madhya Pradesh. Our primary focus is on providing small grants to early-stage organizations that were registered on or after December 1, 2020.
At this stage, organizations often struggle to find financial support, which limits the potential for innovation and new initiatives. Our support will enable them to experiment, refine intervention designs and plans, demonstrate early impact in people’s lives, and strengthen their organizational and financial systems and processes.
To be eligible for the grant, you must be an individual or small group already engaged in the social sector, having demonstrated commitment and effort, even in a voluntary capacity, in recent years.
Eligibility Criteria:
Registered as a Society / Trust / Section 8 company on or after December 1, 2020 (zero to 3 years since registration).
Hold a valid 12A.
Have an average annual expenditure of INR 25 lakh or less.
Engage directly with a vulnerable or marginalized community.
Do not work directly in education or health sectors.
Not a social enterprise.
Not an existing or past partner of the Foundation or under consideration for a grant.
Application Process and Timeline:
Eligible organizations can apply by visiting https://appi.fluxx.io/apply/registration and following the instructions provided. Please select the ‘ES-CSO’ option in the drop-down menu for ‘Choose your areas of work – 1/3*’. The application deadline is February 29, 2024.
