SAGE Fund Request for Proposals: Transformative Care Agendas in the Global Majority
The SAGE Fund, in collaboration with the Ford Foundation Future of Work(ers) program, is inviting concept notes from Global Majority organizations, movements, unions, and cooperatives for the development of care strategies, agendas, and movement building. This initiative aims to create a fair social organization of care that includes both paid and unpaid care work while centering the dignity, rights, and agency of those providing and receiving care. Projects should be focused on Africa, Asia, Latin America, and/or the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. The SAGE Fund encourages proposals that leverage available opportunities to develop transformative policies, laws, models, and narratives. To reduce the burden on applicants, the SAGE Fund has implemented a two-stage application process. In Stage One, interested parties are required to submit a brief concept note and an application form. The Fund will then work interactively with a select number of organizations in Stage Two to develop full proposals. If approved, grant funds will be available for projects starting in August 2024. Applicants can submit their concept notes and application forms through the SAGE Fund’s online application portal, which is now open. However, if the portal is inaccessible, applicants can email their application form and a 2-3-page concept note as Word documents or in another text format to sagefundgrants@newventurefund.org with the subject line: “Care RFP-” The deadline for concept note and application form submissions is January 29, 2024.
