Navigating Funding Opportunities with the Leopold Bachmann Foundation

Understanding the Leopold Bachmann Foundation Grants

The Leopold Bachmann Foundation is dedicated to advancing significant projects through its grant programs. Our funding supports selected partner organizations that align with our mission and focus areas. Understanding the criteria for grant applications is crucial to ensuring your project is considered.

Content and Structural Criteria

To qualify for funding, grant applications must resonate with our key thematic topics and focus countries. Organizations must be deeply rooted in their communities and operate on regional, national, or international levels. A stable organizational structure is essential, as is a commitment to transparency, demonstrated through detailed annual reporting. Additionally, organizations should actively measure impact and engage in shared learning and networking to optimize their projects’ effectiveness.

What We Do Not Fund

It is important to note that we do not fund individuals, budget deficits, ongoing operational costs, infrastructure projects, emergency relief, or one-off grants. For first-time applicants, the maximum annual funding available is CHF 100,000, capped at 60% of the total project budget. As we value long-term partnerships, we meticulously review each application through a multi-stage process to streamline your efforts while ensuring alignment with our strategy.
