IEF Elephant Conservation Grants 2027 -The International Elephant Foundation (IEF) is now accepting applications for the 2027 Elephant Conservation and Research Funding Support Program. Proposals are invited in the following categories:

  • African Savannah Elephant
  • African Forest Elephant
  • Asian Elephant
  • Ex-Situ Research

Program Overview

Each year, IEF supports 20–25 projects worldwide, with an average grant award of $15,000. The program prioritizes sustainable, evidence-based conservation initiatives that deliver measurable benefits for elephants, their habitats, and local communities.

Competitive proposals should demonstrate:

  • Functional effectiveness supported by data or evidence
  • Ethical and culturally appropriate methods
  • Feasibility within the project context
  • Inclusion of relevant stakeholders in both planning and implementation

Application Guidelines

  • Applications must be completed in English via the online portal.
  • All materials must be submitted by Friday, August 7, 2026.
