Khyentse Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche to support all traditions of Buddhist study and practice. Since 2001, the foundation has supported individuals and institutions in more than 30 countries and has directly affected the lives of people around the world. Khyentse Foundation activities include major text preservation and translation projects, support for traditional monastic colleges in Asia, a worldwide scholarship and awards program, academic development of Buddhist studies in major universities, training and development for Buddhist leaders and teachers, Buddhist education for children, support for individual study and retreats, and more. This grant is individual Practice Grants to help individuals practice.
Khyentse Foundation Individual Practice Grants support individuals who wish to practice dharma. These grants might be used for an individual or group retreat, for teachings, or for other kinds of Buddhist practice. KF accepts applications from practitioners and retreatants from all traditions, schools, and sects of Buddhism.
HOW:Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
WHEN: KF accepts Individual Practice Grant applications twice a year, from December 15 to January 15 and from June 15 to July 15. Applications are due by midnight Eastern Time on the last day of the application period and late submissions will not be accepted. Applicants will be notified by May 15 and November 15, respectively.
HOW MUCH: KF Practice Grants generally range from US$500 to $5,000, and occasionally more, depending on the program.
