Apply for an Opportunity Grant Urgent Action Fund: Are you involved in advocacy work or efforts to raise awareness and influence policy? Urgent Action Fund offers an Opportunity grant that can help fund your initiatives. With grant amounts of up to $8,000 USD, this fund is designed to support actions that benefit women, trans, and non-binary people.
One of the key features of the Opportunity grant is its quick turnaround time. Once you submit your application, you can expect to receive confirmation of receipt within 24 hours. The decision-making process typically takes between 1 and 10 business days, although translation needs may increase the time required for a decision.
If your grant application is approved, Urgent Action Fund can wire the funds to you within 24 hours to 10 business days, depending on your specific needs. It’s important to note that the time frame for implementing the proposed actions is limited to 6 months from the approval of the grant.
To be eligible for the Opportunity grant Urgent Action Fund, your group must be women, trans, or non-binary led, with women, trans, or non-binary people as the primary decision makers. Additionally, the actions you propose must focus on advancing the rights of women, trans, and non-binary individuals. The situations for which you seek funding should be unanticipated and time urgent.
It is also essential that your group has support from local or international feminist activists or networks. However, please be aware that individuals who are not activists, cisgender men or male-led organizations or networks, planned projects/activities/service delivery programs, charity/humanitarian assistance/social services, annual operating costs, bridge/gap funding, scholarships, and organizations with a budget of over $1 million USD are not eligible for this grant.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply online by signing up at https://urgentactionfund.my.site.com/UAFPortal/s/. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to secure funding for your important work!
