Understanding Childhood Foundation Initiatives
Childhood foundations play an essential role in nurturing the well-being of children across the globe. These organizations typically aim to create environments that foster growth, learning, and development. With a focus on initiating various projects, they strive to address critical issues affecting children, such as education, health, and social inclusion.
Childhoods mission is to inspire, promote and develop solutions to end sexual abuse and exploitation against children. Our international office is located in Sweden. From Sweden we work with projects in Cambodia, Moldova, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand and Ukraine.
Childhood’s focus currently lies in the following thematic areas:
Trusted Adults
Digital Safety
Justice & Healing
Neglected risk groups
Perpetration prevention
We work in three thematic areas – Child Supportive Environments and Relationships, Child Safety Online and Child Focused Response to Abuse. The themes are chosen based on the areas where children are particularly vulnerable, the needs for our work are greatest and where we as an organization have the greatest experience and knowledge and thus can make the most difference.
