Exploring the Displaced Livelihoods Initiative: Opportunities for Refugees and IDPs

Posted on May 8, 2026May 8, 2026 By admin

Introduction to the Displaced Livelihoods Initiative

The Displaced Livelihoods Initiative (DLI) is a global research and funding program that seeks to enhance economic opportunities for refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities. By funding evidence-based projects, the DLI aims to support displaced populations in rebuilding their livelihoods and improving their resilience.

Funding Opportunities and Priorities

The DLI has launched its fifth and final funding round, offering grants that range from $4,000 to $250,000. This funding supports various categories, including exploratory research and impact evaluations. One of the key priorities of the DLI is to include researchers who have firsthand experience of displacement and organizations led by refugees.

Apply by 15 May 2026

Organizations interested in contributing to the resilience and integration of displaced populations must apply for grants by 15 May 2026. Focusing on key areas such as employment and social cohesion, the DLI aims to generate actionable evidence that drives effective policy frameworks.
