About the Opportunity
SELCO Foundation is seeking a partner to support a programme in Nagaland addressing climate-resilient livelihoods, women-led enterprises, indigenous knowledge and sustainable value-chain development.
The engagement will run for six months and will involve field implementation, community engagement, enterprise development, capacity building, documentation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
The opportunity combines livelihood strengthening with climate resilience, entrepreneurship, appropriate technology, indigenous knowledge and bamboo-based enterprise development.

Women-Led Enterprise Development
An important component of the assignment is women-led enterprise incubation.
The selected partner will work on strengthening livelihood and enterprise opportunities for women and community institutions, including capacity building, mentoring, assessment and market-oriented development.
Indigenous Knowledge and Bamboo
The programme also includes documentation of indigenous knowledge and development of bamboo-related livelihoods and value chains.
The bamboo component includes design residency and innovation, creating opportunities to connect traditional knowledge, local resources, appropriate technologies and livelihood development.
Climate-Resilient Livelihoods
The assignment focuses on strengthening rural livelihoods in the context of climate variability and other livelihood vulnerabilities.
The selected partner will contribute to approaches that improve community capacity, enterprise development, appropriate technology adoption and sustainable livelihood practices.
