Khyentse Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche to support all traditions of Buddhist study and practice. Since 2001, the foundation has supported individuals and institutions in more than 30 countries and has directly affected the lives of people around the world. Khyentse Foundation activities include major text preservation and translation projects, support for traditional monastic colleges in Asia, a worldwide scholarship and awards program, academic development of Buddhist studies in major universities, training and development for Buddhist leaders and teachers, Buddhist education for children, support for individual study and retreats, and more. In this you will find scholarships to Work as Practice Scholarships.
Work as Practice Scholarships are open to the public and aim to support people who wish to acquire the practical skills they need, such as accounting or management, to benefit a dharma center, monastery, or sangha. These grants are intended to help the sustainability of a dharma community, and applicants should plan to use their new skills for that purpose. Khyentse Foundation Work as Practice Scholarships are awarded for one-year terms. Scholarship recipients may apply each year for continuing support to fund longer-term plans.
Qualifications:KF accepts applications from students or practitioners from all Buddhist traditions. Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
