About the Project
LEPRA Society, with support from Sightsavers, is implementing an Urban Eye Health Programme in the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack twin city area.
The programme aims to reduce uncorrected refractive errors among urban slum populations through inclusive and integrated eye-health services.
Key Responsibilities
Mobilise communities for eye screening, outreach camps and awareness activities.
Coordinate with ASHAs, AWWs, SHGs, PRI representatives, teachers and community leaders.
Support patient registration, screening, counselling and spectacle-dispensing activities.
Facilitate referrals for patients requiring further eye care.
Follow up with patients and support continuity of care.
Maintain field records and programme reports.
Work with the Optometrist and other members of the mobile eye-care team.
Travel to field locations and underserved communities.
Eligibility
Candidates should have:
Minimum 10th/12th standard qualification.
Relevant community health or outreach experience is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferably proficiency in the local language.
Basic computer/mobile data-entry skills.
Basic knowledge of eye health will be an advantage.
A two-wheeler driving licence will be an advantage.
