The ESG Research Analyst position is an exciting opportunity that involves a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The focus of this role is on the Chinese and Japanese steel and aluminium industries, as well as their downstream sectors. As part of a small dynamic regional team, the position requires flexibility in focus areas and a collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

Depending on your expertise, experience, and interest, your responsibilities as an ESG Research Analyst will include:
– Conducting research on policy analysis, corporate emissions, investor trends, regulatory frameworks, and climate risk management.
– Tracking and researching corporate and sectoral decarbonisation efforts.
– Analyzing the techno-economic aspects of decarbonisation levers available to industrial sectors.
– Networking and representing Transition Asia’s analysis to relevant stakeholders, including corporate, government, media, and civil society.
