Application Deadline for the Kindling Fund 2025
The Kindling Fund is excited to announce that applications for the 2025 cycle are due on Sunday, November 24th, at 11:59 PM via Submittable. If you’re an artist or an organization looking for financial support for your project, this is the time to get your proposal ready. Applications are always free, making this an excellent opportunity for those in the creative arts.
Meet Our Jury of Experts
This year’s grantmaking process will be overseen by an outside jury composed of three individuals who represent local, regional, and national arts leaders. The jury will be announced alongside the awardees, ensuring transparency in the selection process. It is our commitment to uphold diversity and dynamic visions in artist-driven projects by including one Maine-based artist and past grantee. Additionally, we feature a peer representative from the Warhol Foundation’s regional regranting program, paired with a regional arts organizer or curator recognized for their national excellence.
Eligibility and Artistic Scope
The eligibility for projects applying for the Kindling Fund encompasses a broad definition of visual arts. This includes forms such as photography, video, non-traditional performance, ceramics, installations, sculpture, and many others. We are eager to support all creative endeavors that contribute to Maine’s artistic landscape.
