Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their experience in the social sector, particularly in the field of developmental disabilities. The Outreach Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying and guiding parents, conducting outreach activities, and building partnerships with NGOs, schools, and community organizations.

Key Responsibilities
- Parent Support: Provide guidance to parents regarding government schemes, support networks, and other available resources.
- Community Outreach & Engagement: Build on-ground networks with all IDD allied schools, centers, hospitals and alike and identify family caregivers. Build an active community of family caregivers and regularly engage them through events and information. Establish and maintain relationships with NGOs, schools, and community centers to connect families with Nayi Disha’s resources.
- Research & Strategy Development: Conduct research and analysis to identify gaps in services and help strategize outreach efforts, particularly in smaller towns. Analyse trends of current work and bring insights on strategies that are effective.
- Program Facilitation: Assist in planning and conducting workshops, parent training programs, and support group sessions. Support junior members of the team to build capacity on liaising with stakeholders.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Report Writing: Document ongoing activities, assess impact, and prepare reports to support program effectiveness and growth.
- Partnership Development: Develop and strengthen partnerships and create referral pathways with selected schools, NGOs, and other relevant centers. Liaising frequently with government and other stakeholders to facilitate a local support system for families in the area.
- Administrative & Technical Support: Ensure proper documentation and reporting of activities while being proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
Desired Profile
Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
Understanding of IDD (Intellectual Development Disability) would be an added advantage
Specific Skills
Prior experience in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or within the mental health sector
Comfortable with multi-tasking and building rapport with varied stakeholders
Comfortable with digital tools and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong documentation and reporting skills, self-motivated
