Transforming Youth Mental Health Funding Opportunities for Bold Innovations

Overview of Mental Health Funding Opportunities

At Being, we are dedicated to fostering bold prevention and promotion ideas that target the early drivers of mental health funding and well-being among underserved young people aged 10 to 24. Our initiatives focus on various countries including Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Romania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Vietnam, particularly in urban and peri-urban settings.

Proof-of-Concept and Transition-to-Scale Funding

We provide two primary funding streams: Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Funding, which offers up to $250,000 CAD for innovative early-stage projects that address local personal, social, or environmental factors affecting mental health. The second is Transition-to-Scale (TTS) Funding, with amounts ranging from $300,000 CAD to $1,500,000 CAD, aimed at supporting tested approaches with demonstrated success and potential for high impact.

Eligibility and Application Process

Organizations applying for youth mental health funding must be legally incorporated and operate within the designated twelve priority countries. Preference will be given to youth-led organizations, ensuring that at least 50% of key leadership roles are filled by individuals aged 35 and under. The application process involves two stages: an initial screening questionnaire followed by a detailed project application.

Interested organizations should register on our online application portal at least 7 days before the intake deadline to gain access to funding opportunities. For comprehensive information, key deadlines, and application requirements, we encourage applicants to refer to the official Request for Proposals document.
