About the SBI Foundation Climate Smart Livelihoods Programme

Introduction:The SBI Foundation has invited proposals from eligible NGOs and nonprofit organizations under its Livelihood & Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (SBIF LEAP) for implementing Climate Smart Livelihood projects aligned with the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY). The programme aims to strengthen climate-resilient agriculture, improve rural livelihoods and enhance sustainable development in selected aspirational agricultural districts.

Programme Overview

Under SBIF LEAP, SBI Foundation seeks to partner with experienced nonprofit organizations to implement projects that promote sustainable agriculture, climate resilience and livelihood enhancement. The initiative supports interventions that improve farmer incomes, strengthen value chains and encourage convergence with government programmes.

Assam

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include registered NGOs and nonprofit organizations in India that:

Have relevant legal registration.
Possess at least three years of experience in agriculture, rural development, livelihoods, natural resource management or farmer-centric development.
Demonstrate the capacity to implement large-scale community projects.
Meet the financial eligibility criteria specified in the RFP.
Funding

According to the RFP, proposals generally fall within a funding range of ₹50 lakh to ₹2 crore, depending on project scope and eligibility, with implementation support typically ranging from 1–3 years. Applicants should carefully review the official RFP for the applicable financial thresholds and organizational eligibility requirements.
